'Anna'polis & Digby

Annapolis royal sits in the middle of 2 mountains
44°44′30″N 65°30′55″
Annapolis Royal (2006 Population 444) iThe community is situated at the western end of the fertile Annapolis Valley, nestled between the North and South mountains which define the valley wiki

The valley measures approximately 150 km in length from Digby and the Annapolis Basin in the west to Wolfville and the Minas Basin in the east, spanning the counties of Digby, Annapolis and Kings, but geographically speaking they are part of the Avon River valley. wiki
Annapolis Royal's main attractions are the English Fort Anne Historic site

Fort Anne, situated at the junction of the south bank of the Annapolis River and Basin (Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia), was initially the site of the second French (Acadian) community of PORT-ROYAL.

Captured by New England and British troops in 1710, the fort and town were renamed Fort Anne and Annapolis Royal after Queen Anne. As one of the oldest continuously occupied sites in North America, this settlement became the first capital of peninsular NS following the Treaty of UTRECHT (1713).

Port Royal known as the Habitation at Port-Royal,

In 1710, Port-Royal surrendered for the last time to British forces who renamed it Annapolis Royal after Queen Anne (1665-1714), the reigning monarch. The name is formed through a mix of the former French name Port-Royal and combining the queen's name with that of 'polis', the Greek word for city. The Annapolis Basin, Annapolis River and the Annapolis Valley all take their name from the town. Under the French reign, Annapolis River had been known as Rivière Dauphin.

Annapolis Royal Generating Station is the only tidal generating station in North America.

The 101 is called harvest highway is because of the amount of apples that are produced in the Valley. If u look at the main highways through NS, they make a perfect figure 8. The old route #7 'Marine Drive' to Ecum Secum is missing. Each year the valley holds a Apple Blossom Festival. The highway system here in NS makes the perfect figure 8 ( Marine drive to Ecum Secum is missing)

People of the Annapolis Valley have come together every year since 1933 to celebrate Spring and take in the breathtakingly beautiful apple blossoms that blanket the trees throughout Nova Scotia’s premier apple-growing region.

Growing up I thought the place Ecum Secum was imaginary , & the Beatles where from Liverpool 'Nova Scotia', untill i was told there was a liverpool in UK and Ecum Secum is an actual Nova Scotia town. I do notice that NS mirrors a lot of places & is higly synchy. ( IE - with oak island money pit, Sid the Kid, Bubbles, Sloan, Squid, 1/2 to the equator, PEI potato head, Avalon, Arcadia... )

The names such as St Margaret s Bay, Cape St. Mary's, St.Marys Church (pictured above)

The number 8 highway from Annapolis (Anna_polis) leads across the heartland of Nova Scotia, through Queens lands, crossing the 103 highway to Halifax and transforms into #3 before it hits Liverpool. Liverpool is the port of "privateers" here's a little sync wink photo i took in Liverpool

I just notice the "bow" in the back pointing to the eye ;)

Right:Ringo is "apple" in Japanese.

That puts a whole new spin on Annapolis Royal if Anna is apple like in Eden, Annapolis Royal was the first settlement in Canada & the town of Digby (sirius) just down river.

Digby, voted as the most romantic Canadian town, famous for the Digby scallops fleet & the Ferry through the Gut to St John, she just happens to be called "Princess of Arcadia"

Music posters all around NS are calling for Evolve/Virgin festivals, along with other slogans such as "Banging" summer on the hills"

Water runs up hill @ capstone in Moncton where AC/DC is set to play 'Magic Mountain" magnetic hill its only been in the last few years this area has seen large acts , like the Stones, Kiss, Paul, Nickleback. It's a huge battle now between Halifax commons and Magnetic Hill for venues.

July 4th Virgin festival @ the commons then 7 days after, on the same grounds (July 11) Paul McCartney will be playing his only show here in Canada -- >* note the street /park names - like "bell st. " Then 7 days later, the Tallships and Kiss hit the city (rumors have it Paul will be sticking around)

The Ascendant

In astrology, the point of the ecliptic or the sign of the zodiac that rises in the east at the time of a person's birth or other event is the ascendant.

Happy Birthdday Tesla!

10 July 1856 – 7 January 1943

Tesla is often described as an important scientist and inventor of the modern age, a man who "shed light over the face of Earth" The God of Electricity, Mr.T, Dr. Manhattan, Emperor Palpatine

July 10th is the 191st day of the year (192nd in leap years) 174 days remaining until the end of the year.

According to astrological theory, celestial phenomena reflect or determine human activity on the principle of 'as above so below'. Thus astrologers believe that the ascendant signifies a person's awakening consciousness, in the same way that the Sun's appearance on the eastern horizon signifies the dawn of a new day

ASCendant = \arctan ({-{\cos A}/({\sin A \times \cos E + \tan L \times \sin E}}))

where A = local sidereal time in degrees

E = inclination of Earth's equatorial plane to the ecliptic or obliquity of the ecliptic. For values referred to the standard equinox J2000.0 use 23.4392911°, for J1950.0 use 23.4457889°.

L = local latitude (Southern latitudes are negative, Northern positive) wiki

Nikola Tesla, the inventor and pioneering electrical engineer, is being honoured by Google with a special logo to mark the 153rd anniversary of his birth. July 10 with a logo featuring purple sparks of electricity leaping from the letter "g", which is drawn in the shape of his famous Tesla Coil transformer. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/scienceandtechnology/technology/google/5793540/Nikola-Tesla-Google-commemorates-birthday-of-pioneering-electrical-engineer.html

AC Motor
In 1882, Nikola Tesla invented the rotating magnetic field, and pioneered the use of a rotary field of force to operate machines.

A rotating magnetic field is a magnetic field which changes direction at (ideally) a constant angular rate. This is a key principle in the operation of the alternating-current motor. In 1882, Nikola Tesla identified the concept of the rotating magnetic field. wiki

File:3phase-rmf-60fv2-airopt.gif
Vector sum of the magnetic field vectors of the stator coils produces a single rotating vector of resulting rotating magnetic field.

Death Ray
"Nikola Tesla died on January 7th, 1943 in Hotel New Yorker, in Manhattan, in room 3327 on the 33rd floor of the hotel. Immediately after Tesla’s death, Tesla scientific papers vanished from his hotel room in Hotel New Yorker. Tesla papers were never found. Tesla papers contained scientific data and information about “Death Rays”, which could be used for military purposes.

In 1947 the Military Intelligence service identified the writings about the particle-beam contained in Tesla’s scientific papers as “extremely important.” Military intelligence services of the USA, Germany and USSR were vitally interested in Tesla’s “Death Rays”.

The current beam-weapon program is originated from Tesla’s “Death Rays” idea.

Tesla claimed of having invented a “death ray” capable of destroying 10,000 enemy airplanes at a distance of 250 miles (400 kilometers). "Lost Tesla Papers about the "Death Rays"

Nikola Tesla and Tunguska
About June 30,1908, a huge explosion completely devastated a 2,600 square kilometer area of Siberia. This explosion was 1,000 times more powerful than the Hiroshima atomic bomb, and larger than the devastation caused by subsequent nuclear bomb testing by the U.S. and Russia. http://www.reformation.org/tesla-and-tunguska.htm

The Philadelphia Experiment
An alleged naval military experiment at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sometime around October 28, 1943, in which the U.S. destroyer escort USS Eldridge was to be rendered invisible (i.e. cloaked) to human observers for a brief period. It is also referred to as Project Rainbow. wiki

The Navy admits that the U.S.S. Eldridge took part in an experiment that involved wrapping wire around the hull of the destroyer in an attempt to cancel out the magnetic fields of the metal on the ship. This is known as degaussing.

Transported across space and time?

The most interesting theory about the Philadelphia Experiment is that the destroyer did in fact disappear and was teleported across space and time. Supposedly, there was a great number of ingenious scientists (including Tesla and Einstein) that were taking part in the experiment. However, Nikola Tesla was supposed to dead at the time of the Naval experiment. http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread60003/pg1

Tesla's 'Egg Of Columbus'

The Time Machine

" I can never forget the first sensations I experienced when it dawned upon me that I had observed something possibly of incalculable consequences to mankind. I felt as though I were present at the birth of a new knowledge or the revelation of a great truth....

My first observations positively terrified me, as there was present in them something mysterious, not to say supernatural, and I was alone in my laboratory at night; but at that time, the idea of these disturbances being intelligently controlled signals did not yet present itself to me. The changes I noted were taking place periodically and with such a clear suggestion of number and order that they were not traceable to any cause known to me.

I was familiar, of course, with such electrical disturbances as are produced by the Sun, Aurora Borealis and Earth currents, and I was as sure as I could be of any fact that these variations were due to none of these causes.
The nature of my experiments precluded the possibility of the changes being produced by atmospheric disturbances, as has been rashly asserted by some.

It was some time afterward when the thought flashed upon my mind that the disturbances I had observed might be due to an intelligent control. Although I could not decipher their meaning, it was impossible for me to think of them as having been entirely accidental.
The feeling is constantly growing on me that I had been the first to hear the greeting of one planet to another. A purpose was behind these electrical signals..." Tesla

The Bore

The Tidal bore "phenomenon in which the leading edge of the incoming tide forms a wave (or waves) of water that travel up a river or narrow bay against the direction of the current. As such, it is a true tidal wave (not to be confused with a tsunami)." wiki

Natural attraction finds out if it made the cut today

Did you know that more water passes through the Bay of Fundy in ONE DAY than goes over Niagara Falls in a year? The Bay of Fundy's rising waters travel into the Shubenacadie Tidal Bore at 13km (8mi) per hour.

"During the 12.4 hour tidal period, 115 billion tonnes of water flow in and out of the bay" -wiki

July 7 was the last day to cast a vote, so today we should find out if the Tidal Bore will win a spot in the worldwide New 7 Wonders of nature. http://www.new7wonders.com/hp/
Bay of Fundy's next stage of natural wonders competition
266 nominees in 222 different countries are jockeying for position. They are divided into seven categories, with the top 11 vote-getters in each one advancing to the next round. The Bay of Fundy currently sits in seventh place in the seascapes division....

The list of 77 landmarks voted into the next round today will then be pared down to 28 finalists on July 21. The eventual winner in each category will be announced in 2011....

"The purpose of the contest is to highlight and raise awareness of beautiful places around the world,"..

We have so many features in the Bay of Fundy. We have the dinosaurs and the geology, as well as the two UNESCO sites here and just the whole marine eco-system that's been compared in bio-diversity to the Amazon rainforest. http://timestranscript.canadaeast.com/rss/article/720957

New Minus Basin
The large tides in the Bay of Fundy result from tidal resonance. Tidal resonance occurs when the amount of time it takes a large wave to travel from the mouth of a bay to the far shore and back to the mouth is the same, or nearly the same, as the time between the high and low tides. This coincidence means that the general sloshing of the water around the bay can become synchronized with the lunar tides, amplifying their effect. When other factors come into play, such as storm surges, the tides in the Bay of Fundy have exceeded 20 meters. http://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/IOTD/view.php?id=6650
At the head of the bore in a small town called Truro exists Jacob's latter /Victoria Park.

"Based on unisonal vortex mechanism, the phenomenon of tidal bore is related to two types of unisonal vortex, it can be caused by a huge clear air vortex, or by a vortex of molten matter propagating seismic waves underneath Earth's crust that have resonated in large volume of open water.

It is known and predictable that tidal bore events are triggered seasonally, can be triggered many times over several days around equinox when solar system alignment for Sun, Earth and Moon has occurred on the plane of ecliptic. "

"Image on above middle is tidal bore in Shubenacadie River on 26/10/06, Nova Scotia's largest river, take note of the circular wave patterns with big and small whirlpools in spiral arm clusters on the right side where water is rough, this scenario closely resembles a geographical terrain in Siberia. Solar system alignment was aligned Earth-Sun-Venus-Mars crossed with aligned Earth-Moon-Mercury-Jupiter and also crossed with aligned Saturn-Earth-Neptune."

“Old Sow”

Is the largest whirlpool in the western hemisphere, the second largest in the world - second only to the Maelstrom Whirlpool of Norway. Located between Deer Island and Indian Island, this natural wonder can be seen from the shores of Eastport, Maine. It is called “Old Sow” because of the sounds that are heard from the churning waters.

This powerful whirlpool is formed when the rising tide passes both sides of Indian Island, takes a sharp right turn around the southern tip of Deer Island to flood the Western Passage. A current of over 6 knots (11 km/hr or 6.9 mi/hr) has been experienced off Deer Island Point. In addition to the waters pressing through the narrow straight, the waters are forced along the peaks and valleys of the ocean floor – a trench as deep as 122 meters (400 feet), followed by a reduction in water depth to 36 meters (119 feet) and again followed by a depth of over 107 meters (350 feet). The current of inflowing tributaries within the Passamaquoddy Bay add to the already busy waters.

Old Sow is reported to be most active about 3 hours before high tide. This activity continues for about two hours and takes the form of a collection of small gyres, troughs, spouts and holes and on the rare occasion will form one large funnel. This area, which has been reported to be as wide as 76 meters (250 feet) in diameter, can best be described as turbulent water. However, during spring tides (high water tide caused by a full or new moon) combined with high winds or a tidal surge will increase Old Sow’s activity causing more intense funnels and formations. http://www.abec.ca/what_to_visit/the%20bay%20of%20fundy.htm
Unique Tidal Village
Bear River NS also known as "Little Switzerland" or Village on stilts, had the first Canadian Solar Aquatics system. The area of Annapolis Royal/Digby and Bear River share a lot of Canadian firsts in History)

high tide/low tide

Speaking of NS's lost paradise, Cherry Festival is just around the corner, which date is also determined by the flow of the tides.

July 25th 2009

The Bear River cherry trees were said to be very unique as they would regenerate from seed. They did not have to be grafted like most types of cherry trees did. http://www.annapolis-valley-vacation.com/cherry-carnival.html

These tides also brought up river massive tall ships to pick up lumber produced by the logging company "The Clark Brothers" In its hey day (1890’s) Bear River had six shipyards and six lumber mills even though its population was only 1200.

Musings and Folklore of Bear River

The Cannon
Buried by the Bear River Trading Company building on Main Street. Its history has remained a mystery

Bear River is situated between two counties, Bridgeport port was known as the Annapolis part of Bear River, Hillsburgh being the Digby part. So at one time, the old-timers would refer to town as The Bridge.

In the 1600's, during the early years of exploration, one of the first settlers to the area placed a wooden walking stick into the ground, thus resulting in the growth of a tree. The deed for the property on which it grew prohibited the cutting down of this historical landmark. This true account can be found in history books on the area, particularly those written on Annapolis Royal, the oldest surviving settlement in North America. http://www.bearriver.ca/history.htm

Route 66

"Great American Road Trip” premiered last night (July 7) on NBC. Hosted by comedian Reno Collier *caution spoilers*

Seven families (7 dads, 7 moms & 14 kids , 28 ppl) from divergent backgrounds go on the journey of a lifetime. The families will drive from Chicago to Los Angeles via RV, traveling along Historic Route 66.

They will compete in a series of challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory in order to win a prize of $100,000. Comical and clever challenges are set against iconic American backdrops such as the majestic Grand Canyon and the historic St. Louis arch.

Families include : Coote, DiSalvatore, Faverey, Katzenberg, Montgomery, Pollard & Rico who meet up at the Chicago Cubs baseball stadium "Wrigley Field"and given their RV, each decorated to the family style.

Above: Billy Cub the unofficial mascot
( Cubs won't allow costumes inside Wrigley Field)

"Marc and Hyleri recently fell in love. Having just formed a "Brady Bunch" family unit, this show will give them a chance to really get to know each other. Hyleri's daughter Sami, and Marc's son Andrew, quickly bonded over accusing the other of being high maintenance. The truth is, they all have a little "diva" in them. However, Marc and Hyleri are also active philanthropists and instill this in their kids. Sami is a natural entertainer who makes her voice heard. Andrew is a ladies' man who enjoys flirting. Each member of the family likes to be the center of attention and adores themselves -- and each other." http://www.nbc.com/great-american-road-trip/contestants/katzenberg/
Hyleri pointed out her huge rock on her finger and asked how many carrots it was... Marc's replied "at least 7 k ".

First stop was Springfield, home of Abraham Lincoln where one family member put on president boggle head, while the rest help them through a maze of obstacles.

TheKatzenberg's proved that the turtle always wins the race. 1st to be at the finish line, last in vote count, sending them to compete again to say in the game. The next challenge was @ the St. Louis Gateway Arch

They place another memeber into a zorb ball (bubble) tied to a rope, in which they rolled through a series of arches. Needless to say the Katzenberg's lost due to their zigzaged . The winning teams teeny gloated about paying attention in geometry "the straight line is the quickest path"

Katzenberg's team color was green. So if we are moving away from June 25th events, then it would be very fitting that the Green/"7" k Diamond family would be the first eliminated. Lou diamond was crown king/winner of the last NBC reality show. OR it all could be a coincidence?

So on my road trip home today there was a new bulletin board erected. "Do You Dream In Green" The caps really stand out as DYDIG. I was not driving/caming @ the same time :P That would be dangerous as he11. Drivers here are crazy!
