Fans mourn Jackson after pop star's sudden death
The Internet was built to withstand nuclear attack. That was why it was built in the ’60s in the first place, as a communications system with redundancy built in so that the military could communicate even if one of the nodes went down.The death of Michael Jackson puts an end to plans by Denver entrepreneur Philip Anschutz's live entertainment company to stage a series of comeback concerts http://www.bizjournals.com/losangeles/stories/2009/06/22/daily40.html
We saw some of that happen today, as news of Michael Jackson’s death spread like wildfire through the Internet.
The LA Times managed to report that Jackson was dead, and then everyone else started buzzing about it. Twitter went down. Keynote Systems, which measures web site performance, said that the following sites all slowed significantly: ABC, AOL, LA Times, CNN Money and CBS. Starting at 230 pm PST, the average load time for a news site slowed from 4 seconds to 9 seconds. http://venturebeat.com/2009/06/25/michael-jackson-is-a-test-he-is-only-a-test-of-the-emergency-broadcast-system/

Victory: Michael Jackson to Keep His Hilarious Crap
Just when it looked like Michael Jackson would have to part with his diamond-encrusted socks, wax statues of himself, and the incredible painting seen above, a deal has been struck between Jackson and Julien's Auctions that will return the hilarious contents of the Neverland Ranch to the King of Pop.
These amazing items had been scheduled for auction next week — and are currently on public display in Beverly Hills until the 25th, if you're around — but Jackson sued last month, claiming he'd not been given a chance to review the things in advance. Now, in a joint statement, both sides claim they're "pleased," presumably because
Jackson handed over a bunch of his new comeback money. If he changes his mind about selling this painting, though, we've got dibs. http://nymag.com/daily/entertainment/2009/04/victory_michael_jackson_to_kee.html

Michael Jackson makes a special appearance in the great Nintendo Classic Punch Out. It is different than the Nintendo Punch Out artwork but is a worthy share nonetheless.
Michael does not resurrect the LED Floor from Billy Jean in this game but fights Macaulay Culkin to survive. His monkey, shoes and signature moves are revisited in this funny Nintendo Parody including a Thriller face. http://www.walyou.com/blog/2008/10/07/nintendo-punch-out-featuring-michael-jackson/

~~~~~~~~One of my favorite artists seems synced up to this as well - Mark Ryden
This cd-cover from Michael Jackson’s album Dangerous is also made by Mark Ryden
His work has been seen in movies such as Monkeybone and album covers for bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Michael Jackson, Oingo Boingo and many others. http://blogs.sfweekly.com/shookdown/2007/07/the_lowbrow070207.phpBrendan Fraser's nightmares in the movie Monkeybone - based on Kaja Blackley's graphic novel Dark Town written by Kaja Blackley, illustrated by Vanessa Chong and published by Mad Monkey Press.
Ryden's from the Movie
The painting supposedly drawn by Stu ( Brendon Fraser) before undergoing therapy is very similar to The Birth by Mark Ryden. Much of the film's art bears a strong resemblance to that of Ryden—for example, the bust of Abraham Lincoln as "The Great Emancipator"; however Ryden is not credited. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monkeybone
Powers/Abilities: Doctor Weird could transform into any shape or form he could imagine, taking on the properties to that form in the process. He can form virtually indestructible force fields. He may only be performing the illusion of changing his form and taking on powers, but those he opposes cannot tell the difference.
He also used a wand with which he could cause objects or beings to disappear. The fate of things he causes to disappear is unknown.
