"The worrisome new virus _ which combines genetic material from pigs, birds and humans in a way researchers have not seen before _ also sickened at least eight people in Texas and California, though there have been no deaths in the U.S." http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/04/24/swine-flu-california-texa_n_191158.html

The new Mexican Swine Flu has elements of DNA from the following:

Avian flu, human flu Type A, human flu Type B, Asian swine flu, European swine flu.

A strange combination never seen before and having less than 1/10% chance of being a natural event. Human and animal viruses from four or more continents suddenly recombine in a new flu during a non-flu season that spreads from human-to-human with a 10% fatality rating.

Mexican Swine Flu is NOT a naturally occurring event but instead is an Advanced Biological Warfare recombination DNA genetically engineered virus. -Advanced Biowar Event That Will Be Bigger Than 9/11

MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - Parents cancelled children's parties, nightclubbers were booted out and people stocked up on DVDs as Mexico City residents huddled at home for the weekend in the midst of a serious flu scare.

The capital, one of the world's biggest cities, suspended public events and closed bars and restaurants to try to halt the spread of a new flu virus that has killed up to 81 people in Mexico, with more than 1,300 believed to have been infected.

In the United States, at least 11 people have been infected.

The World Health Organisation warned that the swine flu outbreak could become a global epidemic, putting health authorities around the world on alert.

Sidewalks were quiet in central Mexico City, a sprawling metropolis that is home to some 20 million people and where most of the confirmed flu deaths have occurred. Continued here

Canadian health officials reported six "mild" cases of swine flu on Sunday - the first confirmed cases in Canada since an outbreak of the illness began in Mexico several days ago -- and warned there could be more cases in the days ahead.

As governments around the world rushed on Sunday to check the spread of a new type of swine flu that has killed over 80 people in Mexico and has infected about 20 people in the United States, Nova Scotia health officials said two of the four victims in that province, all students at the same private school, recently visited Mexico. Two case also were confirmed in British Columbia. http://www.nationalpost.com/news/canada/story.html?id=1534458
